Bandits Girls 14U Finish 2nd at State Championships. Congrats on a great year ladies!

The girls fought hard and made it to the championship round against the Wizards. We played our final game tight, 2-1, until an empty net goal in the last minute. They won their opening round to the Spitfires, 4-0. They beat the Flames 8-0, and won the quarterfinal round 4-1 against the North Shore Vipers. They played the Bay State Breakers in the semi finals and handedly beat them 4-0.  The only game lost all weekend was against Charles River with a short bench as we were missing 5 players due to MIAA tournament conflicts.

The girls individually had a strong showing- Kayla McGaffigan (’04) was the leading scorer in total points for the U14 Tier 1 division, Paige Long (’04) was 4th for total points, and our goalie, Lily Prendergast (’04), played amazing letting in only 3 goals all weekend.

The Lady Bandits attribute much of the growth and success we have experienced over the last several years to our commitment to providing a product that is better than our competition.  Above all, the Lady Bandits program is focused on developing our players' physical and intellectual mastery of the game of hockey.  Our commitment to development is best evidenced by our continuous rise in the hockey rankings each year with a consistent group of players.  Our program is not a revolving door of newly recruited talent; we take in players, retain them and make them better.  We offer our U14 and U12 girls two team practices and one skill session per week.  Our U16 and U19 half season teams will have two team practices per week with additional pre game practices when ice is available before home games.  All of our teams have the opportunity to participate in a 10 week Spring Skills and Conditioning Program and summer practice sessions.  We also recognize that player development is not the only thing our older players are looking for.  As our players migrate to the U14, U16 and U19 levels we increase our attention on what's next.  Our coaching staff, with experience coaching D1 college hockey and NEPSAC hockey offers players a broad network of connections to college and prep school programs.  Our older girls also participate in all major showcases in our region and the State Championship Tournament to ensure they are seen by the right coaches and scouts.

If you are committed to being the best player you are capable of being and want a program that is equally committed to making you a better, smarter player and opening doors to future opportunities the Lady Bandits should be where you strive to play.  Our goal is the same as yours; to be the best we can be.  If you know you should be getting more please come and attend our tryouts
